Denise Nix

Nix Strategic Communications President Denise Nix has more than 25 years in the communications field, including 15 years as a news reporter covering the courts and legal issues in Los Angeles. After transitioning to public relations, Denise worked on the in-house marketing teams for two law firms and a public agency. She now puts her nose for what’s news and award-winning writing skills to work for law firms, businesses, educational institutions, nonprofits and public agencies.

Denise’s news reporting experience includes staff positions at the Daily Breeze, the Daily Journal and the Associated Press’ Los Angeles Bureau. The Society of Professional Journalists Los Angeles Chapter recognized her with a Journalist of the Year Award, and she won a Public Relations Society of America PRISM Award from the PRSA Los Angeles Chapter and San Diego Press Club Excellence in Journalism Awards for Publication Writing and Press Releases. Denise is a graduate of San Francisco State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Temple Menorah in Redondo Beach, where she lives with her husband and two teenage sons.
